i got my macbook about 5 years ago so this macbook is the first generation.
when i first got it, i thought it was normal for it to be very warm so i had been using it for 3 years more or less.
2 years ago i realise the heat of my macbook is ridiculously ridiculous!
i have send my macbook to the macbook store for fixing and stuff (since it had many faulty and assume it’s because i had been abusing it such as having it on for months without shut down or sort) and i have asked them if they could explain to me about the heat and if it’s possible for it to be fixed? most of the time they have no answer for it but the last time i had my macbook fixed the dude says it is best to purchase a new macbook and it seems the motherboard is dying or something.
i have been using this macbook for 2-3 years since that last visit and it is perfectly alive.
BUT it does constantly die on me when it begins to overheat :/
as you can see here, it shows 76˚C (165˚F?) and the fan doesn’t run either
even when it runs, the heat isn’t much different.
the highest it ever went is at least 85-86˚C and it will just pass out without a warning.
besides that, my battery won’t work anymore. it’ll last for at least less than an hour even if it’s fully charged. not sure if its the laptop’s problem or the battery is the issue :/

basically, i’d like to ask the MacBook users about this, how do i sort this out or should i clean the fan? if so and since the mac peeps seems to refuse to clean the fan for me, how do i do it?

Mikeyjruiz, lol, it is for an assignment. in fact, it was very much for a presentation.
it’s just that the subject is in Malay and even though i live in that language i just can’t get my head around that language in the most formal way. i just CAN’T.
i had to study the language and only PASS the subject instead of higher mark back in high school lol i’m that bad
