British animal wrangler Alex Larenty risks his life daily so he can prune, primps and polishes a massive lion. He sprays the 9-year-old beast with special lion hairspray, gives him a manicure and even massages his feet.

Thanks to Beth the crossed mastiff’s mutt-erly instincts she has raised a pride of 12 mighty lions. They may be the kings of the jungle, but these lion cubs are pussy cats when it comes to their surrogate mother. Not afraid of a bit of rough and tumble with these mini-kings of the jungle, Beth the lion-nanny happily frolics, nurses and acts as a surrogate mother to newly born cubs for the last two years at a South African lion breeding sanctuary. And her love and care has been a roaring success.
Animal farm owner, Theony MacRae, 52 is rightly proud of Beth who helps to raise lions from the family-run centre, called Horseback Africa, near Cullinan in South Africa.
Thanks to Beth’s hard work five lions have been successfully introduced back into the wild.
awe :’) i hope if they meet again they don’t be “hunting” her down lol

Traps were laid in the wild illegally. When the bear was trapped, she lost not only her paws and four limbs for a good fortune of money, but she was locked up in the cage and had to endure daily torture of bile collection up to 25 or 30 years. This bile collection process requires a hole to be cut in the bear stomach and an iron pipe inserted into the bear gall bladder. Bile was then taken several times a day. The entire procedure was done without anaesthetic in order to save cost. The pain was excruciating. The bear could not bear it and attempted to kill herself by punching her stomach. However, human prevented this suicide act by forcing the bear to wear an iron vest. With this iron vest, her movement was restricted; committing suicide was an impossible task. A mother bear knew it too well. When the bear worker wanted to open up her cub’s stomach, the mother bear broke open the cage and went after the cub. After failing to release the chained cub, she hugged the cub. The mother bear then killed the cub to save it from a life of hell. Here is the story from Chinese news.
This is a homeless guy who lives on a bridge in Dublin City. Last week his rabbit was grabbed from him and thrown into the river below.. the River Liffey. Which is one of the most horrible rivers in Ireland. The currents are really strong and it’s filthy.. Anyway, as soon as the rabbit hit the water this guy was already hurdling off the bridge and towards the freezing river to save her. After hitting the water and successfully locating her, he proceeding to pump air back into her, making her regain consciousness and basically come back to life. I was talking to him today along with another woman and she asked “Why in the name of God did you jump into the water? Did you not think about it?!” and straight away he replied with “No. I didn’t stop to think. I just jumped. It was an instinct.. I needed to save her.”

The Loneliest Whale in the World.
In 2004, The New York Times wrote an article about the loneliest whale in the world. Scientists have been tracking her since 1992 and they discovered the problem:
She isn’t like any other baleen whale. Unlike all other whales, she doesn’t have friends. She doesn’t have a family. She doesn’t belong to any tribe, pack or gang. She doesn’t have a lover. She never had one. Her songs come in groups of two to six calls, lasting for five to six seconds each. But her voice is unlike any other baleen whale. It is unique—while the rest of her kind communicate between 12 and 25hz, she sings at 52hz. You see, that’s precisely the problem. No other whales can hear her. Every one of her desperate calls to communicate remains unanswered. Each cry ignored. And, with every lonely song, she becomes sadder and more frustrated, her notes going deeper in despair as the years go by.
Just imagine that massive mammal, floating alone and singing—too big to connect with any of the beings it passes, feeling paradoxically small in the vast stretches of empty, open ocean.
I can’t imagine spending my entire life not being able to communicate with another being. :[
D: it’s a she and she never had sex - SHE’S FUCKING DEPRESSED!
what other animals that has 52hz !? please help her :(
